Farm to coast - Final days #yfigtour17

Off through the rainforest via Rasberry Lookout for quick happy snap, to Byron Bay. Arh the coast. Stone and Wood Brewery Tour and tasting first stop.

Stone and Wood have created a family team environment passionate about beer history and originally from Matilda Bay Perth.  Community focused using Australian products, they run a 'give back' initiative to assist community groups and causes.

We came away a little inspired and slightly influenced by sampling their product, to begin a new Yuna community hub venture; Beer brewing, wood fired pizza, veg produce, canola oil, sourdough, still spirits and dorper chop shop. A social enterprise!!

Byron Bay is the collective centre for all types. You can't ignore the boho feel and hippy retirees.  Actually it was a little hard for the locals to ignore us too, it was only a matter of hours before they knew there was 30 farmers in town.

The whales even came to visit before we left for Brisbane, homeward bound.

Wendy from Activate Events has really taken this tour to a whole new level. Wendy is so well networked we were able to get to know the towns, their industry, the best places to eat and the people. A huge advantage for us coming from WA.
